Disability Evaluation
Assessing Disability for Work and Daily Functioning
A Disability Evaluation is a formal psychological or neuropsychological assessment used to determine whether an individual’s mental health condition or cognitive impairment significantly limits their ability to work or perform daily life activities.
These evaluations are typically conducted to support applications for disability benefits, such as for Social Security Disability/Income Insurance (SSDI/SSI), long-term or short-term disability through private insurers, and workers’ compensation.
Disability evaluations offer critical insight into how mental or cognitive health affects a person’s ability to function in work and life.
